Mens Designer Rings | New Trends 2010

Posted by admin on July 21st, 2010 and filed under mens fitness | No Comments »

Women have had access to a never-ending selection of designer jewelry for decades, but until recently men were limited to lackluster collections and simple, uninspired designs.  Well thankfully, times have changed, especially when it comes to men’s rings!  Men’s designer rings are more sophisticated and fashion-forward than ever before, with a wide assortment of metals and styles now available in all price ranges.  Why settle for an ordinary ring when you can wear a ring that truly symbolizes your personal taste and style?

Men’s designer rings come in many shapes and sizes, but they are most commonly seen in wedding band collections from well-known companies like Benchmark.  Benchmark rings are available in gold, sterling silver, palladium and platinum, and they are known best for their striking collection of designer wedding bands.  Known as the “wedding ring specialists”, some of Benchmark’s most popular men’s designer rings are pre-set with multiple diamonds against 14K yellow or white gold.   Other favorites include beveled-edge, milgrain, engraved, domed, Euro-fit and hand woven ring styles.

The Benchmark company is also known for their commitment to innovation and perfection.  This is evident in their cutting-edge precision setting technology, a process that displays as much of a diamond’s surface as possible without sacrificing the security of the stone’s setting.  Another “benchmark” reached by this manufacturer is their lifetime guarantee, which essentially protects the customer from any damage incurred through normal wear and tear and even provides free resizing if a customer’s ring size changes.  Not many men’s designer rings come with this kind of commitment to customer satisfaction.

Another popular maker of men’s designer rings is Edward Mirell, who is best known for his super-modern black and gray titanium rings with harder edges and clean-cut two-toned or double-grooved bands.  Mirell also makes interesting use of negative space with his split band and tension-set designs, where a single diamond is suspended within an open space cut out of the band itself.  Other favorites include a Mediterranean style ring set with an elegant star sapphire or a black titanium band embedded with a 14K gold link chain.

For a more traditional selection of high quality men’s designer rings in a collection of rich textures, Artcarved makes an impressive array of wedding bands. Best known for making class rings, Artcarved has expanded its offerings to include handsome designer rings made from platinum, palladium, gold, tungsten, and titanium, many of which are intricately engraved.

Whether you’re searching for a commitment ring, wedding band, male engagement ring, or you just want to make a fashion statement, you can’t go wrong with the number of high quality <a rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview(‘/outgoing/article_exit_link’);” href=”http://www.justmensrings.com/jmr.asp?page=View-Benchmark-Ring-Collection”>men’s designer rings</a>  now available.  Your only dilemma might be choosing just one!

Men’s Tribal Rings

Posted by admin on July 9th, 2010 and filed under mens fitness | No Comments »

Men from all walks of life are getting into the “tribal look”, and nowhere is this more noticeable than in current collections of men’s fashion rings.  Tribal rings are a fusion of symbolism and urban culture that give men a sense of belonging; not to a “tribe” per se, but to a more spiritual interpretation of masculinity.  Gone are the days when men were afraid to express their sense of mystery through jewelry.  The rising popularity of tribal rings is evidence of a move back to nature and a greater appreciation for native cultures.  Using ethnically-inspired symbols, geometric patterns, and organic textural elements in men’s jewelry is a growing trend that recalls the hieroglyphics of ancient Egypt, while maintaining a purely urban “edge”.

Why Has Men’s Fashion Gone “Tribal”?

When it comes to “urban tribal” fashions, some might say that it started among New York’s fashion elite, when designers Diane Von Furstenberg and Marc Jacobs sent models down Fashion Week runways wearing chunky tribal jewelry and wild animal prints in unexpected colors.  While far less risqué in their appearance, men’s tribal rings fit right in with this style. But like any other men’s jewelry, they tend to be a more conservative in design.

What Tribal Symbols are used on Tribal Rings?

The symbols seen on men’s tribal rings represent a mix of designs as unique as their wearers. Look for Celtic rings, Asian-inspired calligraphy, “Survivor-style” primitive markings, Native American patterns, animal prints, serpents, flames and waves, to name a few.  Some rings are reminiscent of ancient cultures and cave drawings, while others maintain an edgy, geometric look; but somehow all of them embody that inexplicable human bond that ties us all together through the language of symbols.  Perhaps this new appreciation for tribal design is fashion’s answer to our data-driven, computerized society.

What are some of the popular Tribal Rings?

Among contemporary tribal rings, here are a few that have gained a foothold with men.  An urban favorite is a 316L stainless steel serpent ring, featuring a serpent design in black enamel.  Another edgy looking style is a sterling silver or stainless steel spinner ring with a black tribal sign on the outer spinning band.  For a modern interpretation of “tribal”, consider a stainless steel ring with a lasered “flame” design all the way around.  Black stainless steel is becoming a popular metal for tribal rings too, with one version featuring a white stainless steel wave pattern running through the middle of a black band.  There are countless other designs for tribal rings, including Celtic knots, Chinese characters, Claddagh rings, and Native American spiritual rings with symbols inspired by fire, air, water, animals and plants.

Rather than owning just one ring, many men are starting their own collections of tribal rings.  This is because sterling silver and stainless steel tribal rings are relatively inexpensive and readily available.  However, true Native American tribal rings can be pricey because these handcrafted pieces often include turquoise and natural gemstones.

Expect to see more designers adding <a rel=”nofollow” onclick=”javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview(‘/outgoing/article_exit_link’);” href=”http://www.justmensrings.com/mensringcollections.asp?mensring=tribal”>men’s tribal rings</a>  to their collections over the coming months as they try to stay ahead of this growing trend.

What are the Latest Trends in Mens Wedding Rings?

Posted by admin on June 27th, 2010 and filed under mens fitness | No Comments »

If you’re looking for men’s wedding rings and you want something that is a unique expression of your personal style, here are some interesting and fashionable trends to consider.

New Metals:
In the past, a gentleman’s wedding ring was only available in two shades of gold and yellow and white. Platinum is another popular precious metal that appeals to the sophisticated man. But today, men have several more options when shopping for wedding rings.

Some alternatives to gold and platinum include titanium, tungsten and palladium. Titanium is lightweight yet strong, and is a very popular choice in men’s wedding bands. Tungsten is known as the strongest metal available in jewelry, and offers a brilliant, scratch-proof finish that never needs polishing. Silvery-white palladium is actually a white gold alloy, which is hypo-allergenic and nickel free.

Comfort fit:
With so many hard metals being used in men’s wedding rings, making these rings more comfortable to wear has become a top priority. Since these stronger rings don’t wear down, like gold does, jewelers have developed a new way to make them more comfortable to wear. Comfort-fit rings are curved on the interior edges to prevent unnecessary friction against the fingers.

Black finishes:
While this may sound a bit unusual to the purist, black titanium and black tungsten rings are gaining acceptance as an alternative to gold or silver-finished men’s wedding rings. For men who like to wear black, and appreciate the strength and durability of titanium and tungsten, these rings make a great fashion statement. They can be worn as all-black or as a two-toned blend of black and silver metal. Either way, they make a striking statement of power and sophistication.

Textured and Two-Toned Rings:
Unlike traditional wedding bands, some of the most popular styles in men’s wedding rings include more than one texture. Whether you choose to combine a brushed and polished finish, prefer a silver and gold two-toned look, or a ring that is grooved, faceted or inset with black carbon fiber; a textured ring offers many ways to personalize a ring to match your personal style.

Large selection of Men’s Wedding Rings. A variety of styles and metals to choose from that will fit any budget. Our mens wedding bands are the finest in gold, platinum and palladium. If you lead an active life-style, you might prefer a wedding ring in the harder metals; tungsten, titanium,or stainless steel. The most important factor to remember is that whatever ring you choose, it’s a symbol of love for that special person in your life.

Emerging Trends In Men’s Wedding Band Rings

Posted by admin on June 23rd, 2010 and filed under mens fitness | No Comments »

When it comes to men’s wedding band rings, there are no hard and fast rules; but one trend that seems to be catching on is the use of industrial metals like tungsten, titanium and stainless steel. These strong and durable metals offer a refreshing change from the traditional gold, white gold and platinum wedding bands your father may have worn, and they can be a lot less expensive. They are also hypoallergenic, virtually maintenance-free; and for men who work with their hands, these harder metals will stay new-looking for much longer.

Another growing trend is the “unisex” wedding ring. Rather than choosing two different wedding rings for the bride and groom, some women are opting to get the same ring as their man – in a much smaller size, of course. Since men’s rings are a lot wider than women’s wedding bands, the woman will usually switch her engagement ring to her right hand. This new way of looking at men’s wedding rings is sure to be the inspiration for many new designer collections.

Designer and patterned wedding bands are also becoming quite the “rage” these days as well, with men feeling a bit more daring with their choice of wedding rings. In response to this, manufacturers are making rings that are domed, grooved, woven, brushed, ridged, engraved, Celtic, two-tone, and bezeled. And for something completely different, there are even men’s wedding rings made of black tungsten and black titanium, or inlaid with carbon fiber. Gone are the days of the discreet metal band with “zero personality”. If you’re looking for ideas, just start searching online and you will find plenty of styles to choose from.

Depending on the type of men’s wedding band ring you choose, a comfort-fit design is another option to consider. Comfort fit rings are internally round and curved around the edges, making them easier to put on and take off. This feature is especially helpful for men who are not used to wearing rings.

If this is your first time shopping for wedding rings, you may be surprised at the number of choices offered. What used to be a simple choice – gold, white gold or platinum – is now a more complicated decision. But when you think about how you will be wearing this ring everyday for the rest of your life, then it makes sense to choose wisely.
