Overweight and your fifteen years old, I believe I can help. I am a coach and have a Masters degree in Sports Management and nutrition, so you can trust me to know what I am talking about. Hope what I give you is not to much, but you have to change or you will always be overweight.
1.Diet is key – Ask yourself, what calories can I eliminate. Simple things like drinking diet colas instead of real ones, or sweet n low instead of sugar. Not eating an extra helping of biscuits and gravy. Saying no to a bag of chips or a candy bar. Eat 3 meals a day, breakfast is the most important.
2.Metabolism – It is the number of chemical reactions in your body at one moment, the more you have the thinner you are. You have to speed it up. Here are some ways to do that.
a.When you first wake up, fall out of bed, do 25 sit-ups, and 25 push-ups, then go eat breakfast.
b.Eat an apple an hour or so before any big meal. It will coat your stomach and you will eat less.
c.Break a real good sweat everyday, no matter what.
d.Have a normal bedtime, and stick to it. 7-9 hours of sleep.
e.Drink lots of water, not 8 but 10 or more glasses everyday.
f.Do not eat past 8pm, EVER.
g.YOU MUST EAT BREAKFAST EVERYDAY
3.Cardio – You have to burn the calories, six pack abs do not come from sit-ups alone, you have to burn the fat off your body. Start jogging 4 to 5 times a week. You might not make it but a ½ mile your first time. Keep at it, try to get 10 miles a week at first. That is 2.5 miles a day if you run 5 times a week. You don’t have to jog it all, you can jog a ¼ mile, walk a ¼ mile until you are in better shape.
4.Weights – Get with your highschool coach and ask him for a weight workout. You need weights they are anaerobic and they build lean muscle mass and use that fat up. I would give you a weight workout but most coaches are pretty good about knowing the weights.
5.ABS – Abs, calves and forearms are the only muscles you can work everyday. Ab workouts are pretty easy to research. Google, free ab workouts and your good to go. Remember though, abs are like any other muscle, sometimes hold a weight in your arms when you do sit-ups. Hold a 25 lb or so, and do 4 sets of 10. That will make your abs bigger and easier to see.
You don’t have to do exactly what I am telling you to do, but you need have a plan. That plan needs to be less sugar, more protein, adequate carbs, good fats and LOTS OF WATER. The best weight loss tool in the universe is water, remember that. So get your butt off the coach, put down the xbox controller and get to work. Its not gonna be easy, but you will thank me one day if you listen now.
