Obtaining a "six pack ab" look, is a function of your body fat levels.

Everyone is different here though and genetics also play a role.

Well, it may seem like just skin to you, but it has some fat in there too. Since you are 15 you are probably still growing, so you should not be too concerned about a tiny bit of fat at your age. In fact, given your weight and age you probably should not worry too much about fat. One thing is certain, you do not want to starve yourself -- you need plenty body energy while growing (and building those abs).

I am sorry, but really good abs that you can get fast is not easy! But then again, it does not have to be as hard as you may think. Most teenagers have an aversion to healthy eating and exercise, but the sad and simple truth is that is exactly what it takes. But it must be the correct healthy eating and exercise. You can work all day at exercises that are slow at burning fat or developing a flat stomach with great abs.

Basically you are going to be more successful if you can do full body exercises that focus on large muscle groups. Try doing Renegade Dumbbell Rows, Front Squats with Barbell, and Mountain Climbers on Floor. See http://tinyurl.com/NonAb-AbExercises for illustrated instructions. Using dumbbells increases resistance which in turn increases fat burn. If you don't have dumbbells then just use something heavy. If you don't have something heavy then do them anyway without them. Perhaps these will be a bit difficult to do at first, but full body exercises that emphasize large muscle groups are far superior than the time you spend on simple weight lifting, crunches or cardio.

You will need to pay attention to nutrition. Avoid high fat and/or sugar foods. Get plenty of non fatty proteins, avoid simple carbs (sugars, most breads, white rice, etc.), but sure to get some complex carbohydrates in. And don't forget plenty of veggies. Avoid fast foods and processed foods. And be sure to get some foods that are high in beneficial fats such as nuts, salmon, avocados, etc. They have great health benefits and fat burning properties. But watch out, too much of these at a time and you will gain weight. 10 peanuts have as many calories as an entire plate of salad with a little wholegrain pasta mixed in.

Centuries of historical data and a plethora of controlled studies have proven that people are healthier, more lean, and live longer lives if they eat low calorie/high nutrition meals. And instead of eating larger meals it is better to eat 5 or 6 smaller meals a day. It keeps the metabolism burning at peak efficiency in feeding muscle and burning fat. If you consume more than 600 calories at a single sitting, the body can not adequately process it and the excess will go straight to fat. It's sorta like I sometimes say: "I don't know why I am putting this chocolate in my mouth, I might as well apply it directly to my belly."

Consult with your parents and get their input. Also try and get them involved. Especially in meal planning. And doing some exercises together can be fun. You will be a lot more successful if you have the support group of your whole family being involved.

And remember this: Moderation in all things.

I hope this helps a little!!
