Diamondback Edgewood LX Bike Review I bought Diamondback Edgewood LX bike to commute to work and back – about 7 miles each way, in city traffic and over a couple of bridges. This bicycle is very comfy for using for exercising and casual rides. It’s a perfect balance between professional bicycling and comfort and you will enjoy having paid a decent price for such quality materials and workmanship. The bike is beautiful and built solid with quality parts. The components are not top-notch but they are not cheap either.

Mongoose Domain Men’s Dual-Suspension Mountain Bike (26-Inch Wheels) Review Mongoose Domain is a super bicycle for the cost. This is the best bike I got in the low end price range. For the money, I think it’s a super nonprofessional bike. I will use this bike probably 5 times a week for roughly an hour or two at most riding around the neighborhood and nearby bicycle trails. So for me, it’s more than sufficient. I don’t want anything more expensive presently. The bicycle came double boxed and was in super condition. I’d say probably over 80% of the bicycle is already assembled. Gathering was a snap, no surprises, no troubles.

Pacific Shorewood Men’s Cruiser Bike (26-Inch Wheels) Review The bike is very comfy and rides really nicely. It takes approving looks and compliments everywhere I ride. Effective center-pull brake system, seven speeds that are comfy to switch up or down, a great, spring-supported seat, and white-wall tires! The rims, spokes and hubs are all anodized black aluminum, very cool result. The rims, spokes and hubs are all anodized black aluminum, very cool result. The saddle gets a “quick release” bolt/lever which was different good surprise. The hand-operated brakes and 7-speed twist index shifters operate super. It gets wide saddle with padded suspension for comfort.

Schwinn High Timber Men’s Mountain Bike (26-Inch Wheels) Review The quality of this bicycle far surpasses its price. The Sram brake system, the Shimano gear mechanisms, the rims, the seat, the handle bars, all top notches. Especially the fork and the flexible seat. It rode very easy and I truly enjoyed it. I took this Schwinn High Timber because of the style which is perfect for somebody like me. (No need to lean hunched over). The Schwinn High Timber worked solid, easy switching and easy ride. I’d recommend it, if you wish a solid bicycle without the big buck price tag.

Schwinn Ridge AL Men’s Mountain Bike (26-Inch Wheels) Review Schwinn Ridge AL Men’s Mountain Bike is light due to all the aluminum components that make up the bike and it is the aluminum that makes the bike it durable as well. The bike was a piece of cake to take out and set up. The bicycle was assembled well at the factory. There were no scratches from the assemblage line. The welds seem solid (which is a good sign of a good weld). Easy shifting after easy adjusting, light frame, almost everything came preassembled. This Schwinn certainly has surpassed my expectation for what of that money can buy you. I get ridden it about 200 miles so far. I paid around $230 with free transportation. For what I need, it’s ideal. The seat is comfy to an extent. I consider that was a great deal and I don’t regret buying the bicycle at all. All in all, I needed an inexpensive bicycle, and I’m pretty satisfied with what I had.

Review Men’s Hybrid Bike Schwinn Excursion (700c Wheels)

Comments Off

I spotted the Schwinn Excursion that had almost exactly all the features that I was looking for. This bike is a lot of fun to ride. It only has three speeds, but that is all you need most of the time. Pretty simple to put together (It arrives mostly assembled). The internal shifting mechanism is inside the rear axle and is smooth as butter- very nice shifting. The handlebars are upright (I am more interested now in enjoying the scenery rather than counting pebbles).

The tires are not too skinny or too fat (700CX40C with Schrader valve stems, the valve stems are extra long to accommodate the aerodynamic rims). The pedals are flat and can be used on either side (plus they are metal, not bad plastic). But the most amazing piece of equipment is the three-speed Sturmey-Archer rear hub. I get owned about six bikes with this hub. It is a very trusted hub and needs real little care.

I was pleased to find out that the hub is still available (it has an fascinating one-hundred-year history which can be found on the Internet) I would have preferred the trigger shifter, but the twist-grip gearshifts is much less vulnerable to damage. One new improvement in the newer hub is that the shifter chain rides on a little pulley which decreases friction and improves the shifting. The seat is very comfortable and should suffice for riders who practice this type of saddle frequently.

I bought Schwinn Excursion bike one month ago and have been using it substantially since then. It comes mostly pre-assembled, yet there is still some assembly required that might pose difficulty for someone with not so much bicycle maintenance under their belts. When I say that it comes pre-assembled, that means that the tires are on the rims and the back wheel is attached to the frame along with the pedals, brakes, chain guard and handle bar stem.

You need to secure everything else to the frame and connect and set the gear mechanism cable. The fenders fit really well and do not scratch to the tires. Once all of the adjustments have been made, it is a very safe feel and comfy bike to ride to and from work. The three speeds give me all of the range that I need for bike riding in my area, which includes a couple of stiff hills. I do enjoy this bicycle very much.
